Therapy Animals
At Linden Grove School, learning goes beyond textbooks and classrooms. We know that social-emotional growth is just as important as academic progress — and sometimes, the best teachers have four legs and a wagging tail.
Why Therapy Animals?
Therapy animals offer comfort, reduce stress, and help create a welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported. Research shows that spending time with therapy animals can:
• Lower anxiety and promote calm
• Encourage communication and social skills
• Boost confidence and self-esteem
• Support emotional regulation and focus
Our trained, certified therapy animals love being part of daily life at LGS. They greet students, sit in on reading practice, give comfort during tough moments, and bring fun to group activities. Each has a unique personality — but all share the same mission: to spread joy and support growth.
A wagging tail can ease test-day nerves, a snuggle can soothe a rough morning, and a playful paw can spark new connections. Our therapy dogs aren’t just visitors — they’re part of our community and beloved friends to our students.
